(1) your original poems from the semester (a minimum of 10);

(2) your art and poetry styles research (a minimum of 6 styles);

(3) the visual art that accompanies your poems and/or your research;

(4) a thoughtful response to the course's four central questions:

~Do period terms, such as "Surrealists" or "Modernism," mean the same thing in literature and the visual arts?

~Can one usefully apply terms developed to describe technique, such as "texture," "structure," or "narrative," in one art to another art form or medium?

~How do images, symbols, and motifs work differently in visual and verbal arts?

~How do twentieth century multimedia art forms differ from twenty-first-century ones?

(5) also include among your pages a 1 to 1 ½ page statement about how your Artists Among Poets' experience might influence your ongoing and future artistic, personal, and professional endeavors. Include any personal discoveries you made about yourself through the class activities. Did the experiences sometimes challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and when they did what did you find there?
